Ingredients

  • 1 Kg apples
  • 50 gr ginger
  • 125 gr flour
  • 125 gr sugar
  • 100 gr butter
  • 125 gr hazelnut powder

Steps

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Peel and cut the apples into quarters.

  3. Make the applesauce in the microwave for 15 minutes until it becomes a compote.

  4. Add the grated ginger (easier if it’s frozen) to the apple compote.

  5. Prepare the crumble by mixing the flour, sugar, butter melted and hazelnut powder. Be careful not to overmix to keep a sandy texture.

  6. Put the apple compote in a cake tin and cover with the crumble.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C until the crumble is well browned.
